In the film, Kevin Hart is tired of being cast in comedic roles and wants to prove to the world that he can be a serious action hero. To achieve his dream, he enrolls in a prestigious action movie school run by a tough-as-nails instructor played by John Travolta. As Kevin navigates his way through the grueling training, he finds himself in the midst of a real-life action movie when he becomes the target of a dangerous criminal organization. With the help of his classmates, including a skilled actress played by Nathalie Emmanuel, Kevin must use his newfound action skills to save the day. Follows a fictionalized version of Kevin Hart, as he tries to become an action movie star. He attends a school run by Ron Wilcox, where he attempts to learn the ropes on how to become one of the industry's most coveted action stars.
